Happy New Year Traveler’s

HAPPY NEW YEAR

HAPPY NEW YEAR TRAVELERSAs a traveler the holidays come and go.  Some are celebrated with friends and family, and some are celebrated with complete strangers.  Others are celebrated alone.  This is a traveler’s lifestyle.  We migrate around the globe searching for adventure, and hunting for excitement.  Sometimes this makes us forget what the rest of the world holds important.  At other times travel leaves us lonely and confused about our travel choices.

Another New Years is right around the corner, and this last year was filled with a lot of missed opportunities as it always is.  New Years resolutions will monopolize the conversation tonight, but as we grow up our goals, values & vantage points evolve and mature. As we grow up, we create our own little worlds to keep the pain & disappointment that loved ones, friends, and strangers can inflict on us at bay.  We strive for comfort instead of risk because of the unknown reward.

We learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down probably will. You’ll fight with your best friend, and make up with an enemy. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it’s harder every time. You’ll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You’ll blame a new love for things an old one did. You’ll cry because time is passing too fast, and you’ll have regret for things you wanna do now but shoulda done when you were younger and able.

You’ll eventually lose someone you love, and have no idea how to cope or move on. You’ll make money & you’ll loose money. You’ll have a dream that will eventually become a fantasy.  You’ll land a dream job, and you’ll have a nightmare job. At some point your life will be complete, and then an act of god or unforeseen variable will make its way into the equation leaving you devastated. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you’ve never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back. Don’t be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

Nothing lasts forever, so live it up, drink it down, laugh it off, avoid the bullshit, take chances and never have regrets, cuz at one point everything you did was EXACTLY what you wanted to do! Have a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
